Marilyn:
I’m the women in the red. The only women in this corner spot. I
have always been the odd one in the groups because I like to hang
with the guys. My mom always tried to make me do girly things, but
when I was with my dad I was a rough neck. We are trying to crack a
case. The other Detective John and I asking the waiter has there been
any suspicion going around here lately. While the quiet guy sitting
next to us eat and ease in our conversation.
John: I’m
the guy by Marilyn “the other detective” named John. We have been
working on a case around here for months now and we haven’t come up
with nothing. I have always been the type of guy to not stop until I
succeed, so that’s what’s going on with this case because I feel
so close to it, but yet I’m so far away. My mom always pushed me to
never give up especially when my dad left us.
Rob:
I’m the waiter named Rob. I always had to work to earn things
nothing was ever given to me. Explains why I’m such a hard worker
here. These detectives have been coming in here lately, but tonight I
think they are on to something. They have more information than they
have ever had in the last month. I haven’t seen anything suspicious
the last month, except tonight…
Dexter: My
name is Dexter. I’m the quiet one sitting at the bar by myself.
These detectives are on to something big I feel it, but they are
closer than they think. I was always the quiet but slick one. No one
ever expected “little ole quiet Dexter” to do anything wrong.
Well boy did they think wrong…
Scene 1
At the hottest
corner spot in town “Phillies”. Late at night trying to crack
this big case that seem to be getting closer and closer to crack, but
seem so far away. Well things are going to change tonight. The
detectives are closer than they think…
Marilyn:
(sigh) Oh Rob this case is getting crazy. We have no leads and no
evidence, but yet I can feel we are so close to cracking this case.
Rob: (grinning)
Yeah, As long as you guys have been trying to get to the bottom of
this you should be close to this case.
John: (worried
look) Yeah, We are getting close I feel it in my bones. We need
to get this case. This would be our big break. I just didn’t expect
this little case to take such a long time.
Rob: (smiling)
Well you guys are going to get it. You guys deserve it. You two are
the most hard working detectives that walked into Phillies.
Dexter: (looking
worried)
Rob: Hey,
can I take your order? (Talking to Dexter)
Dexter:
(shaking voice) Uh, yesss-ss. Can I have a BLT with a Sprite.
(Talking to Rob)
Rob: Yes
you can. I will have that right out for you.
John:
Hey, why do you seem so shaken up? Are you okay? (Talking to
Dexter)
Dexter:
(voice shaking) Yeah, I’m fine just a long night (Talking to
John)
John:
Hmm, well alright buddy. Enjoy your meal
(John turns to
Marilyn)
John: There
is something strange about that guy (Talking to Marilyn)
(Marilyn turns and
looks to Dexter)
Marilyn:
(stunned) John thats the person who murdered that guy in the
case we are trying to crack.
John:
(turns facing Dexter)
Dexter:
(shaking) (jumps up and tries to make a run for it)
Rob:
(Comes from the kitchen and smacks John with the door)
Marilyn:
(runs up and puts Dexter in handcuffs)
(John, Marilyn, and
Rob all look at each other and smile)
John:
Finally!
Marilyn:
Finally!!
Rob: Finally!!!
Dexter:
Awe man!!!!
